We must call today (April 29,2020) one of the darkest days for not only Bollywood but the whole Entertainment industry and fans. We lost an irreplaceable actor & valuable gem of Entertainment. Irrfan Khan passed away today at 54. The news of his demise was shared on Twitter by ‘Piku’ director Shoojit Sircar. “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute,” he wrote. The actor was last seen in ‘Angrezi Medium’ with Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, for colon infection.

He was a final year student when Mira Nair chose him for a role in Salaam Bombay in 1988. He became an actor by chance. Today, Irrfan Khan is one of the most versatile actors the Hindi film industry has ever seen. Not only has he left a mark in Bollywood, but he is also showing his talent in Hollywood, where he is being praised for his work.

His recognition goes on beyond Bollywood with so many Hollywood superhits like ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Jurassic World’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, and many others. He is one of the best actor Bollywood has seen due to his distinctive ways of delivering dialogs and performance. One can easily relate and realize why he is different and also realize why he is irreplaceable just by watching his movies. In my personal opinion, no one would’ve been fit for the role he has done in movies. It seems left with a lasting legacy that no one will be fit for.

The Lunchbox (2013)
